Distance Learning Spotlight - Author Q&A
Conestoga 9th graders in Melissa Pacitti’s World Literature class recently read Chandra Prasad’s Damselfly. Pacitti, who teaches English and is a reading specialist at Conestoga, reached out to the author to see if she was interested in a “Q&A” with her students. Damselfly is a young adult novel where teens find themselves on a mysterious island, not knowing how they got there or how to get off.
Prasad agreed and had the students submit questions to her, then recorded herself answering the questions. The video is to the right.
In addition to this video, Prasad has offered to do a live session with the students. This is another example of TE Teachers stepping up and adapting to distance learning. Thank you to Chandra Prasad, and thank you to Mrs. Pacitti for offering an in-depth, engaging, and challenging activity for the students of TESD!
